Belt Rankings and Requirements
In most structured martial arts forms, there is some semblance of a belt system that used for a multitude of ways: the belt color is symbolic of experience gained as the student progresses through the program, the ranking system itself provides the students with a sense of self achievement and satisfaction, and with each new rank the students are faced with new and exciting challenges and skill sets to master. These challenges include new language learning, new taeguk poomsae forms, self defense disarms and board breaking techniques. With all of these things in mind it can be tricky trying to determine what exactly your student should be practicing so listed below is an overview of all the rankings and their respective learning objectives. The My Gym curriculum prepares each student for the next belt they are testing for, so for instance as a white belt, we would provide them the tools to master the skills of a high white belt and so forth.
